«SMILE OR DIE OR SMILE» compila una serie de obras realizadas por Jorge Pomar entre 2014 y 2019. Está compuesta por collages, dibujos, pinturas, cerámicas, textiles, instalaciones, performances, exhibiciones, murales y un documental.
«(…) Jorge Pomar cuestiona a través de la banalización del mal esta estética de la violencia y plantea las tensiones con las que convive el ser humano en un mundo en el que las armas y el asesinato son estilizados con el propósito de ser incorporados a nuestra lógica de consumo.
¿La guerra y el juego, son nociones antagónicas? ¿La guerra es el juego de los poderosos? ¿Está bien matar y morir en nombre de una bandera, que al fin y al cabo, es sólo una disposición arbitraria de colores? ¿La concepción de territorio, de nación, justifica la muerte del otro?»

«(…) Through the banalization of evil, Jorge Pomar questions this aesthetic of violence and makes the case that the tensions human beings live with in a world where weapons and murder are stylized with the purpose of being incorporated into our logic of consumption.
Are war and play antagonic notions? Is war the game of the mighty? Is it okay to kill and to die in the name of a flag that in the end is just an arbitrary arrangement of colors? Does the concept of territory, or nation, justify the death of other?»
